Update information on COVID-19 cases in Hubei on March 16, 2022

No new local COVID-19 case was reported in Hubei on March 16. No local asymptomatic carrier or inbound confirmed case was identified. One inbound asymptomatic carrier from Cambodia was found. Yesterday saw no suspected case or death. Five patients were discharged from hospital (all were confirmed patients in Wuhan). Three asymptomatic patients were discharged from medical observation (one was asymptomatic carrier in Wuhan and two inbound carriers).

As of 24:00, March 16, nineteen local cases were hospitalized in the designated medical institution (eighteen cases were in Wuhan, and one in Shiyan), six with moderate symptoms and thirteen with mild symptoms. There was no suspected case in the medical institution. Three local asymptomatic patients were under medical observation, with two in Wuhan, and one in Xianning.

Twelve inbound cases were receiving treatment in the designated medical institution, two with moderate symptoms and ten with mild symptoms. Eleven inbound asymptomatic patients were under medical quarantine.

A total of 63,845 patients were cured and discharged from hospital. 4,512 people died of the disease. A total of 68,388 cumulative confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Hubei. 1,307 close contacts were still under medical quarantine.
