Update information on COVID-19 cases in Hubei on April 12, 2022

One local COVID-19 case in Yichang was reported on April 12 (the patient was traveler from another province). A total of 44 local asymptomatic carriers were identified (seven in Wuhan, 16 in Ezhou, one in Jingmen, and 20 in Huanggang). There was neither inbound case nor inbound asymptomatic carrier. Yesterday saw no suspected case or death. Two inbound confirmed patients were discharged from hospital. Four asymptomatic carriers were discharged from medical observation (one case in Suizhou, one in Ezhou, one in Huanggang,  and the other was inbound case).

As of 24:00, April 12, three local cases were hospitalized in the designated medical institution (one in Yichang with common symptoms, one in Enshi with mild symptoms, and the other in Huanggang with mild symptoms). There was no suspected case in the medical institution. 207 local asymptomatic patients were under medical observation (55 cases in Wuhan, five in Xiaogan, 41 in Huanggang, 12 in Huangshi, 39 in Ezhou, one in Xiangyang, 43 in Suizhou, three in Shiyan, two in Jingzhou, four in Enshi and two in Jingmen).

No inbound confirmed case was receiving treatment in the designated medical institution. Two inbound asymptomatic patients were under medical quarantine.

A total of 63,879 patients were cured and discharged from hospital. 4,512 people died of the disease. A total of 68,394 cumulative confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Hubei. 5,292 close contacts were still under medical quarantine.
