Update information on COVID-19 cases in Hubei on May 4, 2022

No local COVID-19 case was reported on May 4. One asymptomatic carrier from another province was detected in Wuhan. No inbound case was identified. Three inbound asymptomatic carriers from Pakistan were found. Yesterday saw no suspected case or death. One confirmed patient in Wuhan was discharged from hospital. A total of 10 asymptomatic carriers were discharged from medical observation. (9 were local asymptomatic carriers, with 6 in Wuhan and 3 in Ezhou, and 1 was inbound asymptomatic carrier.)

As of 24:00, May 4, two local cases in Wuhan were hospitalized in the designated medical institution (all with mild symptoms). There was no suspected case in the medical institution. 49 local asymptomatic patients were under medical observation (23 cases in Wuhan, 6 in Xiangyang, 7 in Huanggang,10 in Ezhou, 1 in Xianning, 1 in Xiaogan, and 1 in Yichang).

No inbound case was receiving treatment in the designated medical institution. 11 inbound asymptomatic patients were under medical quarantine.

A total of 63,884 patients were cured and discharged from hospital. 4,512 people died of the disease. A total of 68,398 cumulative confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Hubei. 2,490 close contacts were still under medical quarantine.
