Update information on COVID-19 cases in Hubei on May 31, 2022

No local COVID-19 case was identified on May 31. There was neither inbound case nor inbound asymptomatic carrier. Yesterday saw no suspected case or death. No confirmed patient was discharged from hospital. Two asymptomatic carriers in Jingmen were discharged from medical observation.

As of 24:00, May 31, one local case with mild symptoms in Wuhan was hospitalized in the designated medical institution. There was no suspected case in the medical institution. Three local asymptomatic patients were under medical observation (2 cases in Ezhou and 1 in Jingmen).

No inbound case was receiving treatment in the designated medical institution. Three inbound asymptomatic patients were under medical quarantine.

A total of 63,886 patients were cured and discharged from hospital. 4,512 people died of the disease. A total of 68,399 cumulative confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Hubei. 486 close contacts were still under medical quarantine.
