2025 China-Africa Innovation Cooperation and Development Forum opens in Wuhan

The 2025 China-Africa Innovation Cooperation and Development Forum was held on Nov. 20, 2025, in Wuhan, capital of Hubei Province, aiming to promote the application of innovative technologies.

Jointly organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Hubei provincial government, the forum focused on themes such as industrial cooperation, technological innovation, cultural exchanges, modern agriculture, public health and sustainable development.

Around 800 guests from 43 countries and regions attended the forum, including political leaders, diplomats and foreign representatives, as well as renowned scientists and industry experts from China and Africa.

The opening ceremony featured the award presentation for the finals of the 4th China-Africa Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, along with the release of three reports on environmental protection, poverty reduction and new energy industries, respectively.

During the forum, a total of 39 cooperation agreements were signed, while 23 service platforms were established.
