Wuhan East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden sets single-day visitor record


The East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden in Wuhan saw its highest single-day visits of the year on March 28, 2026, with 77,000 people flocking to the scenic spot as mid-season cherry trees reached full bloom.
The park, home to over 10,000 cherry trees, has been transformed into a sea of pink and white blossoms, drawing throngs of visitors eager to capture the fleeting beauty of spring. With late- blooming cherry varieties set to take over as the current peak winds down, the cherry blossom season is expected to last until early April.
