Dayuwan Village attracts visitors with restored ancient charm, renewed vitality

Tourists take photos in Dayuwan Village, a famous Chinese historical and cultural village in Wuhan, Hubei Province. In recent years, the village has been revitalizing ancient residential buildings through preservation efforts. Traditional techniques have been applied to restore Ming - and Qing - dynasty homes and flagstone streets to their original condition, while preserving their rustic character. Unused old houses and public spaces have been transformed into various facilities such as exhibition halls, intangible cultural heritage workshops, and ancient village cafes. This approach has integrated the preservation of the ancient village with industrial development, achieving a balance between comfortable living for villagers and an enjoyable experience for tourists.
