Foreign children and children from Wuhan celebrate International Children's Day

An event to celebrate the International Children's Day was held at Wuhan Zoo on May 30, 2026, bringing together ten families from the United States, France and India, as well as ten local families from Wuhan.

During the event, the foreign children learnt a few phrases in the Wuhan dialect from their classmates from Wuhan. They also discovered the art of traditional Chinese block printing through a hands-on activity. The children then visited the zoo together, observing various animal species up close and enjoying some time chatting with one another.

According to one parent who took part, this activity strengthened intercultural exchanges between the children and fostered mutual understanding, whilst celebrating International Children's Day in a warm and festive atmosphere.
